Secure Gaming Account Middleman Service Website Development With Potential For A Further App
Website Specification Document

1. Executive Summary

This document defines the functional, operational, and technical requirements for a secure gaming account middleman platform. The platform will act as a trusted intermediary between buyers and sellers of gaming accounts, reducing fraud risk through structured verification, escrow-based fund holding, transparent fee calculation, and monitored communication.

The core objectives of the platform are:

- To provide a secure, regulated environment for gaming account transactions.
- To verify seller and buyer identity before they can transact.
- To hold funds in escrow until the buyer confirms receipt and satisfaction of the account.
- To ensure full transparency of fees, pricing, and transaction status for both parties.
- To provide automated workflows for listings, offers, payments, handovers, and dispute resolution.
- To support multiple currencies, languages, and region-based access controls.
- To protect uploaded content through branded watermarking.
- To allow controlled administrative and contractor access to the website.
- To enable automatic social media sharing of approved sale listings.

2. Service Overview

The platform is a dedicated, secure intermediary service for gaming account transactions. It facilitates the safe exchange of gaming accounts between sellers and buyers by verifying account details, holding funds in escrow, and only releasing payment to the seller once the buyer has confirmed receipt and satisfaction with the account.

The service removes much of the fraud risk associated with direct peer-to-peer transactions by:

- Validating seller-provided account information against uploaded screenshots.
- Requiring identity verification from both buyers and sellers.
- Holding funds securely until the buyer confirms the account is as described.
- Providing a monitored messaging system for negotiation and coordination.
- Automating fee calculations, transaction timelines, and post-purchase workflows.
- Offering a structured dispute resolution process for mismatches or disagreements.

3. Pricing Structure

3.1 Transaction-Based Fee

A flat transaction fee of **5%** will be calculated on the total transaction value and added to the buyer’s total cost during checkout. This fee will be clearly displayed before payment is confirmed.

For example:

- Seller lists an account for £500.
- Platform transaction fee: £25.
- Total amount payable by buyer: £525.

This structure ensures the buyer sees the full cost before purchasing, and the seller understands the net amount they will receive after a successful transaction.

3.2 Seller Subscription Option

Sellers may choose a subscription plan instead of paying per-transaction fees.

Subscription Cost:£120.00 per month
Benefit: All transaction-based fees are waived for the subscriber
Appliability:The subscription applies to eligible listings created while the subscription is active

The subscription model will be managed through a dedicated seller portal, where sellers can view their subscription status, billing history, and renewal options.

4. Accepted Payment Methods

The platform will support the following payment methods:

- Credit and debit cards: Visa, Mastercard, Maestro
- PayPal

American Express will not be accepted for card payments.

All payment processing will be restricted to approved methods only, and payment details will be handled in compliance with applicable payment security standards.

5. Seller Account Listing Form

Sellers will be required to complete a detailed listing form before an account can be published on the platform. All fields relevant to the account being sold must be accurately completed.

5.1 Account Profile Fields

Field Name | Input Type
1 Current Overall CP | Numeric |
| 2 | Current Alliance | Text / Dropdown |
| 3 | Current Kill Count | Numeric |
| 4 | Current State / Server | Text |
| 5 | Current VIP Level | Numeric / Tier |
| 6 | Current Troop CP | Numeric |
| 7 | Current Hero CP | Numeric |
| 8 | Current Pet CP | Numeric |
| 9 | Current Mod Vehicle CP | Numeric |

| 11 | Current Structure CP | Numeric |
| 12 | Can Email Be Manually Changed? | Yes / No / Partial — notes field |
| 13 | Current In-Game Location | Text / Server Region |

5.2 Verification Upload Section

Sellers must upload clear, timestamped screenshots that support the information entered in the listing form. Required verification materials include:

- Account stats overview
- CP breakdown matching entered values
- VIP status
- Alliance and server information
- Email and account ownership settings

All uploaded files must be legible, directly relevant to the account, and consistent with the data provided in the listing.

5.3 Public Buyer Visibility

Once submitted and approved, the full listing will be visible to prospective buyers, including:

- All entered account statistics
- Uploaded verification screenshots
- Seller profile information
- Price and fee breakdown
- Verification status of the seller

Buyers will be expected to cross-reference seller-provided information against the uploaded screenshots before committing to a purchase. Any discrepancies must be flagged to platform administrators immediately.

6. User Registration and Identity Verification

All users, whether buyers or sellers, must create a profile before participating in transactions. As part of onboarding, all users must complete an identity verification process.

6.1 Verification Requirements

Users will be required to submit:

- A valid government-issued photo ID
- A photograph of the user holding the same ID
- A handwritten note showing the current date and time, included in the photograph

This process is intended to confirm that the user is the legitimate holder of the submitted ID and to reduce the risk of fraudulent accounts.

6.2 Admin Verification

Once submitted, verification documents will be sent to an administrator for manual review. After successful verification, the user’s profile will display a green verified badge indicating that their identity has been checked and confirmed by the platform.

If verification fails, the user will be notified, and their account will remain restricted from transacting until the issue is resolved.

7. Monitored In-Site Messaging

The platform will include an internal messaging system that allows buyers and sellers to communicate regarding listings, offers, and transaction coordination.

7.1 System Monitoring

All messages sent through the platform will be monitored for compliance with platform rules. The system will automatically detect language that encourages users to move negotiations or payments off-site.

7.2 Off-Site Transaction Prevention

If a user attempts to encourage another party to complete negotiations, payments, or account handovers outside the platform, the system will display an immediate pop-up warning. The warning will remind users that off-site transactions are not protected and may result in account suspension or a permanent ban.

Users who repeatedly attempt to direct transactions off-platform will be flagged for administrative review.

8. Offer and Negotiation System

The platform will support structured negotiation between buyers and sellers while keeping all activity within the monitored environment.

8.1 Open to Offers

When creating a listing, sellers will have the option to indicate whether they are open to receiving offers from potential buyers.

8.2 Automatic Offer Acceptance

Sellers may set an automatic offer acceptance threshold. If a buyer submits an offer equal to or higher than this threshold, the system will automatically accept the offer on behalf of the seller.

For example:

- Listed price: £1,200
- Automatic accept threshold: £700
- Buyer offer: £800
- System action: Offer automatically accepted

This feature provides sellers with greater control over negotiations and reduces the need for manual offer management on lower-priced or time-sensitive listings.

9. Transaction Workflow

9.1 Standard Transaction Process

The platform will follow a structured workflow for all transactions:

1. Seller creates a listing
2. Seller completes all required account stat fields
3. Seller uploads verification screenshots
4. Seller selects pricing model: transaction-based fee or monthly subscription
5. Listing is reviewed and published
6. Buyer reviews listing and verifies stats against screenshots
7. Buyer proceeds to payment
8. Buyer pays total amount, including the platform service fee
9. Funds are held securely in escrow
10. Seller transfers account access to the buyer
11. Buyer inspects the account
12. Buyer confirms that the account matches the listing
13. Funds are released to the seller
14. Transaction is marked complete

9.2 Payment Confirmation Deadline

Once an offer is accepted or a buyer initiates a purchase, the buyer will have **24 hours** to complete payment. If payment is not received within this period, the transaction will be automatically cancelled, and the listing will be reinstated.

### 9.3 Account Handover Deadline

After payment is confirmed, the seller will have **24 hours** to transfer full account access to the buyer. If the seller fails to complete the handover within this period, the transaction will be cancelled, and the buyer will receive a full refund.

10. Escrow and Payout Processing

Funds from buyer payments will be held in escrow until the buyer confirms satisfaction with the account. Once confirmation is received, the platform will initiate payout to the seller.
