We’re George Auto, an Australian automotive brand creating content around cars, builds, giveaways and car culture. We’re looking for an experienced, outgoing and reliable YouTube video editor to join us full-time for ongoing work.
Our growing YouTube channel delivers a mix of long-form talking-head/vlog episodes and punchy Shorts, all cut to a fast-paced, highly engaging rhythm. Each week, 1 - 2 long-form videos, plus several Shorts land in a shared Google Drive; the raw 4K footage, outline, and brand assets are there, and the finished pieces need to come back polished, audience-ready, and on schedule.
We need someone who can take raw footage and turn it into an entertaining episode with a strong opening, good pacing and a clear story, while keeping the personality and humour of our channel.
What you’ll be doing:
- Editing long-form YouTube videos from raw footage.
- Finding the best moments and cutting unnecessary footage.
- Adding music, sound design, colour correction, graphics and captions where needed.
- Cleaning up dialogue while keeping engine and car sounds clear.
- Creating short clips from the main videos for social media.
- Working with our team on feedback, deadlines and ideas.
Who we’re looking for:
- Proven experience editing long-form YouTube content.
- A strong understanding of storytelling, pacing and audience retention.
- Confident English communication and an understanding of conversational humour.
- Someone proactive, comfortable sharing ideas and able to work independently.
- Reliable internet and a computer capable of handling large video files.
- Availability for full-time work with some overlap with Melbourne business hours.
What we offer:
- $350-$500 AUD weekly wage for thr right person
- 40h of work a week
