Full-Stack Node.js Developer

I’m extending our international product team for a 12-month, full-time engagement and need a developer who can work comfortably across the stack. Most of the day-to-day work revolves around improving and maintaining an existing system: fixing bugs, refining APIs, tackling performance issues, and rolling out incremental features without disrupting production.

The core backend runs on Node.js, so deep JavaScript skills are essential. You’ll still touch C# micro-services here and there, build React components when UI tweaks are needed, and deploy everything through our AWS Serverless pipeline (Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, Aurora PostgreSQL, CloudFormation).

You will collaborate directly with senior engineers in several time zones, commit code through Bitbucket, and ship continuously. Clean, well-tested pull requests and clear communication are required; if you enjoy pair-reviewing and leaving the codebase better than you found it, we’ll get along well.

Deliverables are straightforward:
• Regular PRs that close assigned tickets, fully tested and documented
• Small, focused feature updates released behind feature flags
• Infrastructure definitions (IaC) that pass our CI/CD checks

After the initial 12 months there’s a good chance to extend, so I’m looking for someone ready to invest in the project long term, operating as an independent contractor alongside our diverse team. If that sounds like a fit, let’s talk.
