I need an experienced engineer who can take ownership of a large-scale, long-term product built around a .NET 8 / ASP.NET Core backend and a React.js + TypeScript frontend. Your first focus will be refining and extending our existing API layer, modelling new features, optimising performance, and making sure every endpoint is production-ready.

Once the backend foundations are solid, you’ll move fluidly into the React codebase—building reusable components, wiring state with modern hooks, and ensuring the UX feels instant even when we lean on complex business logic.

We already run in AWS, so you should be comfortable deploying microservices and event-driven workflows with containers (Docker) orchestrated through Kubernetes and managed via standard CI/CD pipelines. The infrastructure is written as code; if you can automate with PowerShell or similar scripts, even better.

You’ll also touch auxiliary services written in Python (Django/FastAPI) and occasionally prototype AI-powered features with OpenAI or Azure equivalents, so a polyglot mindset is important even though .NET remains the core.

Deliverables each sprint
• New or enhanced .NET 8 endpoints with unit and integration tests
• React.js features pushed to production behind feature flags
• Kubernetes-ready Docker images and updated pipeline definitions
• Clear documentation and concise pull-request notes

We work in English, collaborate daily in GitHub, and expect 40+ hours of commitment for at least the next 12 months. If building reliable cloud software end-to-end excites you, I’d love to see your portfolio and talk through the roadmap.
