I want a modern, mobile-first e-commerce site built with React on the front end and a Node/Express API backed by MongoDB. The store will sell physical products, so I need a polished catalog, intuitive search, a secure customer account system (registration, login, password reset), and a friction-free cart and checkout flow.

On the admin side, I need a dashboard where I can add, edit, or retire products, review orders, and manage users. Role-based access is important—regular shoppers should never touch admin routes. Please follow best practices for security (hashed passwords, JWT or similar token strategy, server-side validation, HTTPS readiness) and performance (lazy loading, code splitting, indexed queries).

A clean, component-driven UI is essential; I’d like you to keep styling modular with modern CSS techniques (CSS Modules, Styled Components, or Tailwind—use what fits best but keep the bundle lean). Everything must scale down gracefully to phones and tablets.

Deliverables:
• Source code in a Git repository with clear commit history
• Well-commented React components, Express routes, and Mongoose models
• A concise README covering environment setup, build commands, and deployment steps
• Postman (or similar) collection for API testing
• Basic seed data so I can see the flow end-to-end

I’ll test the site by spinning it up locally, registering a user, adding products through the dashboard, and placing an order. If those journeys feel seamless and the codebase is readable and documented, we’re good to go.
