Senior Full-Stack Software Engineer – AWS, React, Flutter, Backend & IoT
We are looking for an experienced Senior Full-Stack Software Engineer to take responsibility for the ongoing management, maintenance and development of our existing software platform.
We develop intelligent fire detection and suppression systems incorporating IoT technology, cloud connectivity, mobile applications and remote monitoring.
Our software systems are already developed and operational. We are not looking to rebuild everything from scratch. We need someone who can understand our existing architecture, take over its management, troubleshoot issues and continue improving the platform.
The role includes:
- Managing and maintaining our AWS infrastructure, including Elastic Beanstalk, hosting, security, monitoring and backups.
- Maintaining and developing our existing backend, APIs, databases and device communication services.
- Managing and improving our React frontend, web dashboards and desktop-accessible applications.
- Maintaining and updating our Flutter mobile applications for Android and iOS.
- Managing Firebase integrations, push notifications and application connectivity.
- Managing GitHub repositories, version control, deployments and CI/CD processes.
- Troubleshooting software faults, connectivity problems, API failures and application issues.
- Supporting communication between our IoT devices, cloud platform and applications.
- Working closely with our firmware and electronics engineer to ensure hardware and software operate correctly together.
- Developing new features and improving existing functionality as required.
- Maintaining software security, reliability, documentation and long-term scalability.
Experience required:
- Strong full-stack software development experience.
- Proven experience managing production AWS environments.
- Strong React.js experience.
- Strong backend development and REST API experience.
- Experience with Flutter, Android and iOS applications.
- Firebase integration and push notification experience.
- GitHub, CI/CD and deployment management.
- Database management, troubleshooting and security.
- Experience with IoT platforms, connected devices, MQTT or similar communication technologies would be highly regarded.
- Ability to independently manage an existing software platform developed by another team.

This is not simply a website development project. Our platform includes multiple connected products, mobile applications, cloud infrastructure, remote monitoring and communication with physical electronic devices.
You must be comfortable investigating existing code, identifying and resolving problems, maintaining production systems and collaborating with our firmware engineer.
We are looking for a long-term working relationship, with ongoing maintenance and future development work.
