## Project Overview

I am looking for an experienced full-stack developer to upgrade and modernize my existing website,

The website is an established application built using ASP.NET Web Forms, VB.NET, SQL Server, JavaScript, and other technologies. The complete source code will be provided.

I want an experienced developer to inspect the entire existing codebase, identify outdated technologies and technical issues, and bring the website up to date while maintaining its existing structure, functionality, and identity.

**This project is about upgrading and improving the existing website, not redesigning it.** I want to retain the current website's look and feel unless a specific visual change is needed to fix a problem or improve usability.

## Scope of Work

### 1. Technical Audit and Upgrade
- Inspect the complete source code, including all pages, frontend files, backend code, database integrations, and configuration.
- Identify outdated frameworks, libraries, dependencies, and coding practices.
- Upgrade technologies and components to appropriate supported versions wherever compatible.
- Improve code quality, maintainability, reliability, and performance.
- Resolve existing bugs, errors, compatibility issues, and technical limitations.

### 2. Update All Existing Pages
- Review and update all website pages, including public pages, logged-in user pages, game pages, account pages, and administrative areas.
- Fix broken layouts, display issues, outdated components, and inconsistent behaviour.
- Ensure existing pages work correctly with updated technologies.
- Preserve the current visual style and established user experience.
- Make only necessary visual adjustments to improve usability, compatibility, and responsiveness.

### 3. Full Mobile Responsiveness
- Make the entire website work correctly on mobile phones, tablets, laptops, desktops, and large screens.
- Fix fixed-width layouts, horizontal scrolling, overflowing content, and elements that do not fit smaller screens.
- Adapt existing navigation, forms, tables, menus, dashboards, and game interfaces for different screen sizes.
- Test all important pages and functionality across different devices and browsers.

### 4. Backend and Database Improvements
- Update and improve the existing ASP.NET Web Forms and VB.NET application.
- Review SQL Server integration, database queries, stored procedures, and data handling.
- Improve performance, error handling, security, and reliability.
- Review authentication, sessions, user permissions, and administrative access.
- Identify inefficient code and unnecessary database operations.
- Preserve existing data and ensure database changes are properly backed up, tested, and documented.

### 5. Existing Functionality Improvements
Review and improve the existing features without unnecessarily removing or changing how they work.

This includes user accounts, game mechanics, credits, payment processing, forums, messaging, user interactions, administration, moderation, and other functionality present in the source code.

Fix bugs, improve existing workflows, and ensure that all working features continue to function correctly after the upgrades.

Any changes to established game rules, balances, payment workflows, or business logic must be discussed and approved before implementation.

### 6. New Features
I also want to introduce additional features and improve existing functionality.

The developer should inspect the current application, identify opportunities for improvements, recommend suitable new features, and implement the agreed changes.

The proposed features and requirements will be discussed after the initial technical audit.

### 7. Security and Performance
- Identify and address security vulnerabilities.
- Upgrade outdated and insecure dependencies.
- Improve application and database performance.
- Review access controls, sensitive configuration, and payment-related security.
- Improve compatibility with current browsers and supported hosting environments.
- Ensure errors are handled properly and sensitive information is not exposed.

## Required Technical Skills

Candidates must have experience with:
