Role 1: Senior Full-Stack Cloud & API Engineer (GCP / Python / Node.js)
Purpose: Owns the Google Cloud backend architecture, statutory rule engines, Web Scraping ingestion pipelines, and REST API Gateway integrations.
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Senior Cloud & API Engineer to architect and build a scalable labor law data platform on Google Cloud Platform (GCP). You will be responsible for designing versioned SQL relational schemas, writing web scraping pipelines for government gazettes and DOLE orders, and delivering high-throughput calculation APIs for B2B HR and LegalTech clients.
Key Responsibilities
Database & Schema Design: Architect relational database schemas in Cloud SQL (PostgreSQL) to store versioned statutory rules, effective dates, contribution brackets, and legal citations.
Ingestion Pipelines: Build scheduled web crawlers and scrapers using Python (BeautifulSoup/Scrapy/Playwright) on Cloud Functions / Cloud Run to monitor changes in government portals.
API Microservices: Develop stateless, low-latency REST/GraphQL calculation engines using Node.js (Express/Fastify) or Python (FastAPI) running on Google Cloud Run.
API Gateway & Security: Implement Google Cloud API Gateway for API key authentication, rate limiting, logging, and usage metrics.
WordPress & Webhook Integration: Build custom PHP / REST endpoints or Cloud Middleware to handle payment callbacks, TidyCal scheduling events, and MailPoet email automation.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Core Tech: Python (FastAPI, Scrapy), JavaScript/TypeScript (Node.js), PHP (WordPress core/plugins).
Cloud & DevOps: Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (Cloud SQL, Cloud Run, Cloud Functions, Cloud Scheduler, Cloud Logging).
Database: Deep proficiency with PostgreSQL (complex JSON queries, indexing, CTEs, schema migrations).
Integrations: Solid background in REST APIs, webhooks, OAuth2, and payment gateway webhooks.
Experience Level: 4+ years in backend/cloud engineering.
