I’m ready to move my manuscript into production and need a designer who can deliver a complete, print-ready cover—front, spine, and back—plus a high-resolution e-book version.
Front cover essentials I will supply include the final title, subtitle, author name, and genre direction; I’d like you to translate those into a strong focal image with good contrast so the book stands out both on-screen and on a shelf. The spine simply carries the title and my name, while the back integrates the blurb, an author headshot with a short bio, and space for the ISBN barcode.
The files I expect at the end are:
• Print-ready PDF with bleed, trim marks, and CMYK color
• Layered source file (PSD, AI, or InDesign) so future tweaks are possible
• A flattened 300-dpi JPEG and a web-optimized PNG for online retailers
If you’re comfortable adjusting layouts for both paperback and hardcover, even better, though we can start with one format first and adapt the second after approval.
I’ll provide all copy, the ISBN, and the photo; what I need from you is the creative vision, clean typography, and mastery of Adobe InDesign or Photoshop/Illustrator to pull everything together. Let me know how you’d approach the genre-appropriate imagery and the timeline you’d need to hit a final, press-ready file.
