Environmental Plant Management (EPM) is looking for a freelance social media content specialist with experience in commercial horticulture, greenhouse production, CEA/hydroponics, nursery, ag-tech or a related professional green-industry market.
This is not a consumer gardening content position.
Our audience includes professional growers, interiorscapers, garden centers, distributors and other horticulture professionals. We manufacture products addressing plant care, pest management, irrigation-system maintenance and water-quality challenges.
What We Need:
We're looking for someone who can: Develop an ongoing monthly content calendar and identify topics that will interest professional horticulture audiences. Write and create finished posts for LinkedIn, Facebook and Instagram. Create graphics, carousels and other visual content. Turn technical information, field results, customer stories, photos, educational material and industry topics into interesting, useful social content.
Balance educational content with product and company messaging. Schedule/publish approved content and monitor performance.
EPM will provide access to technical information, product resources, field results, photography and industry knowledge. We need someone who can recognize the stories and content opportunities within those resources rather than simply waiting for us to supply a list of posts.
Ideal Background You should have:
Experience with commercial horticulture, CEA, greenhouse production, agriculture, ag-tech or a related professional market. Strong B2B writing and social media skills. Experience developing content calendars and content ideas. Ability to create professional social graphics. Ability to understand technical subjects and communicate them clearly and accurately.
You do not need to be an expert in every area EPM serves, but horticulture/agriculture industry experience is important.
