I’m ready to guide a skilled web developer through building a complete flight-booking website that lets customers search live fares, choose seats, and confirm reservations in one smooth flow. The core requirement is that travellers can finalise a booking right on the site, paying either online (card, wallet, etc.) or choosing a pay-later option that simply locks the fare until we follow up.
Here’s the journey I have in mind:
• A fast search engine where visitors enter origin, destination, dates, and passenger count, then receive real-time results they can sort and filter.
• A clear itinerary page with fare breakdown, baggage rules, seat maps, and upsells.
• Checkout that supports secure online payments (Stripe or a comparable PCI-compliant gateway) yet also handles a “reserve now, pay later” path that records the booking in our system and emails the traveller a payment link.
• An intuitive admin panel so I can load or change carriers, fares, promotions, and view booking analytics without touching code.
I’ll supply detailed workflow diagrams, wireframes, and the business rules; you bring the technical know-how to turn them into a production-ready site. The stack is flexible—React, Next.js, Laravel, Django, or another modern framework are all acceptable as long as the code is clean and well-documented.
Deliverables (acceptance criteria)
1. Responsive front end that passes Core Web Vitals.
2. Fully functional search-to-checkout flow with both payment choices tested in a sandbox environment.
3. Admin dashboard with role-based access, booking logs, and editable flight inventory.
4. Deployment scripts and brief hand-off session so I can replicate the setup on my hosting.
If you have prior experience integrating APIs such as Amadeus, Skyscanner, or similar, that will be a plus, but I’m open to suggestions on sourcing flight data. Let’s build something travellers will love—send over your approach, timeline, and links to comparable work, and we’ll get started right away.
