Tyre Usage & Lifecycle Management System

This is a fleet tyre-management platform built for mining and heavy-construction operations, where tyres are a major, closely-tracked operating cost. It follows every tyre through its full lifecycle — from purchase, through fitment on specific machines and positions, through periodic wear inspections, and on to eventual removal, repair, retreading, or scrap.

Core idea. Each tyre has a status (in stock, fitted, removed, under repair, retreaded, or scrapped) and a condition (new or reused). Machines are defined by a type with a specific wheel-position layout (front-left, rear-right, etc.), and tyres get fitted to individual positions on individual machines — the system enforces that a tyre can only be in one place at a time, and a position can only hold one tyre at a time. Every inspection records tread depth, hours and kilometres achieved, air pressure, and wear percentage, building up a full history per tyre. Daily usage logged against a machine gets attributed back to whichever tyre was actually mounted at each position on each day, so hours and kilometres roll up accurately even as tyres get swapped in and out over a machine's life.
