I’m looking for help to restore my WordPress website, which is currently displaying a critical error on the public-facing website and WordPress login.

My hosting provider, Krystal, has investigated and identified an incompatibility with the Revolution Slider (revslider) plugin. The error relates to create_function(), which was removed in PHP 8.0. My website is currently running PHP 8.3.

Krystal has renamed the Revolution Slider plugin folder to disable it, but this has not resolved the problem. They suspect there may be further compatibility issues with outdated plugins or other website components.

My hosting package includes daily backups retained for 30 days, and Krystal has offered to restore a backup if needed.

I’m looking for someone who can investigate the errors, restore the website and WordPress admin access, and update or repair any incompatible components. Ideally, I would like to retain the existing website design and content rather than have the website rebuilt.

I need someone who can:

• Pinpoint the exact cause of the post-update crash (PHP fatal error, compatibility conflict, database issue, etc.).
• Restore full front-end and back-end access without losing any existing content, settings, or media.
• Leave the site running on the latest stable versions of WordPress, the theme, and all plugins—or roll back specific components if that’s the safer route.

You’ll likely use tools such as cPanel or an SFTP client to examine error logs, temporarily disable plugins/themes, and repair the database if needed. Please keep a short log of what you change so I know how the issue was resolved.

Acceptance criteria: the website loads normally in a browser with no error messages, I can log in to /wp-admin, and automatic backups are re-enabled before the job is marked complete.

Could you please let me know whether you can help, your availability, and an estimate of the cost before any work begins?

Many thanks
