I’m seeing a worrying gap between my ad metrics: every paid link click costs me X, yet driving someone to the landing page ends up costing three times that. Something inside the Shopify storefront is causing visitors to drop before the page fully loads or engages, and I need that fixed quickly.
Here’s the situation:
• Platform: Shopify
• Brand-new store, so no legacy code to fight with—just whatever came with the theme plus a handful of starter apps.
• No obvious slow-load warnings, but the data says users vanish after the click, making my landing-page cost sky-rocket.
What I need from you:
1. A thorough front-end and back-end audit to uncover anything—theme bloat, unoptimized images, misfiring scripts, app conflicts, pixel or tag issues—that could be killing load speed or tracking accuracy.
2. Clear recommendations and hands-on fixes: remove or refactor code, compress assets, streamline apps, and repair any analytics or Facebook/Google pixel mis-configurations.
3. Confirmation the problem is solved: once you’re done, the cost per landing-page view should fall in line with, or below, the cost per link click, and tracking should report consistently across Shopify, GA4, and ad managers.
Please outline the diagnostic steps you’d follow and any Shopify-specific tools you rely on (Theme Inspector, Lighthouse, GTmetrix, Shopify Analyzer, etc.). I’m ready to give collaborator access right away so we can get this store converting efficiently.
