Fix Camera Verification Face-ID Module

The camera-based verification section of my company website is no longer working as intended. The flow should capture a user’s live face, read the front of an ID card, and confirm that the two belong to the same person, but the current module stalls mid-process and never returns a match result.

Here is what I need from you:

• Diagnose the existing front-end and back-end code handling the camera stream (WebRTC/JavaScript) and the server-side face-ID matching logic (currently built on OpenCV and Python).
• Repair whatever is preventing the real-time feed from completing the Face-ID matching step and make sure results are returned reliably across Chrome, Firefox, and Safari on desktop and mobile.
• Keep the current UI intact; just get the Face-ID matching feature working smoothly.

Acceptance criteria
• User can capture a live face image and an ID card image in one uninterrupted flow.
• System produces a success or fail response in under five seconds.
• No console errors, timeouts, or blank screens across the three main browsers mentioned above.

I will give you access to the git repo and staging server as soon as we start. If you are comfortable with camera APIs, face recognition libraries, and tight debugging, I’m looking forward to your help on this fix.
