I’m getting persistent “ads.txt not verified” messages inside the AdMob console even though I believe the file is already on my server. I work with a simple custom HTML/CSS site, so there’s no CMS interface or plugin helping me out—and, honestly, I’m not sure where the file ended up on the host.

Here’s what I need from you:

• Locate or correctly place the ads.txt file in the exact directory Google expects (most likely the web root).
• Ensure its contents fully match AdMob’s latest publisher ID guidelines so the console stops flagging it.
• Walk me through any DNS, caching, or propagation quirks that could delay verification.
• Confirm the fix by showing the green-check “Verified” status in my AdMob account.

You’ll get SFTP or cPanel access and a screenshot of the current AdMob warning. Once the console reflects “No issues found,” the job is done.
