My new 3-D printer is assembled and powers up fine, but every time I start a job the print begins, then quickly turns into a stringy, broken mess. I want to get that very first PLA test piece to complete cleanly and learn the adjustment steps that make it repeatable.

I am printing PLA only, so the focus is on dialing in the right nozzle temperature, bed temperature, fan speeds, and slicer profile (I currently use Cura but I’m open to PrusaSlicer or another if it solves the issue). Layer height, flow rate, first-layer squish, z-offset, and bed-level checks are all on the table—whatever is necessary to move from a messy start to a solid, smooth first layer that finishes without breaking.

The ideal outcome is one successful benchmark print along with the profile or settings file we develop together, plus a clear set of notes so I can reproduce the result on my own. A short video call or screen-share session to watch the printer in real time would work best, but I’m flexible if you have another proven approach.

If you’ve already helped others tune a fresh machine and can walk me through the fine points of PLA calibration, I’m ready to begin as soon as you are.
