Fine-Art Macro Photo Commission

I’d like to commission a single, museum-quality macro photograph that celebrates form, curve, texture, light and shadow rather than the literal object itself. I’m open to whichever organic subject you can source and render most sculpturally—whether that’s a nautilus shell, a calla lily, a feather, a lotus, or something comparable.

Aesthetic & Concept
The image must feel minimal, abstract and unmistakably black-and-white. The closer and more immersive the crop, the better; I want the viewer to decode shape before they recognise the subject.

Technical Expectations
• Horizontal (landscape) composition that will reproduce sharply at roughly 68 – 72 in wide and no more than 48 in high.
• File large enough to print at exhibition quality—around 300 ppi at final size (≈18,000 px on the long edge).
• Capture in RAW; provide the untouched RAW plus a fully finished 16-bit TIFF.
• Professional retouching and non-destructive B&W conversion (Capture One, Lightroom, Photoshop) essential—rich tonal range, no dust or artefacts.

Process
I’ll review a low-res proof first. Once approved you’ll complete final retouching; keep adjustments natural—dodging, burning and tonal balancing rather than heavy compositing.

• Your macro setup (camera, lens, lighting).
• Any access you already have to pristine shells, lilies, feathers, etc.
• Turnaround time and number of proof rounds included.
• Whether you can run a small printing test before final hand-off.
