I’m launching a personal series of bite-sized stand-up clips for YouTube and TikTok and want each set to land with families who stream together in the living room. The material should feel observational and instantly relatable—think everyday quirks, mild parenting chaos, sibling rivalries, school-run mishaps or the odd tech fail—while steering clear of anything that would earn more than a PG rating.
Here’s the flow I have in mind:
• 3–5 individual routines, each running 90-120 seconds so they edit neatly into vertical video.
• Smooth set-ups, clean punchlines and at least one good callback across the batch.
• Language that pops on screen when delivered by a single performer (me) with no props.
• A light intro and outro line for each clip to encourage likes, shares and follows.
• One round of tweaks once the draft is read aloud on camera to fine-tune timing.
Scripts can arrive in Word or Google Docs; I add the final formatting in Premiere myself. If you already pace jokes to beats per minute or tag spots for jump cuts, even better—drop those notes right in.
Send a short sample of your family-friendly observational writing or a link to live gig footage so I can hear the rhythm. I’ll green-light the full batch after a quick read-through.
