F5 R4600 Deployment & WAF Setup

I have two brand-new F5 BIG-IP R4600 appliances ready to be racked, licensed, and fully commissioned. Their sole role in my environment will be application security, so the Advanced WAF module takes centre stage. No legacy configurations exist; we are starting from a clean slate and I need a solid, best-practice security posture designed and implemented.

Here is what I expect from this engagement:

• Initial appliance bring-up: power-on, base licensing, software upgrade (to the current LTM/ASM release we agree on) and HA pairing
• Network integration: VLANs, trunks, self-IPs, and routing aligned with my data-centre standards
• Advanced WAF enablement: policy creation from scratch, including signature tuning, attack signature staging, learning, and enforcement
• iRules or policy logic where needed to cover edge use-cases (geo-blocking, custom error handling, etc.)
• Handover documentation and a brief knowledge-transfer session so my team can operate and fine-tune the boxes confidently

A working knowledge of BIG-IP TMOS, ASM/Advanced WAF, and high-availability clustering on the R-series is essential. If you can tick those boxes and have deployed similar security-focused BIG-IP setups before, let’s get these appliances protecting our apps.
