External Painting Quantity Measurement

I have a high-rise project that needs its external wall painting quantities worked out from scratch and then tied back to the contractor’s bill. The scope covers tower-wise and elevation-wise take-off of gross paintable area, deduction of windows and other openings, and preparation of a clean net paintable area statement.

All documentation must live in Excel because that is the platform I use for quantity control. Keep the sheets in a basic, easy-to-read summary format—no complex formulas or long comment fields. Break the summary down by elevation so each façade can be reviewed independently against both drawings and on-site checks.

Specific tasks and deliverables:
• External wall painting quantity measurement
• Elevation-wise area calculations with opening deductions
• Net paintable area statement in Excel (basic summary layout)
• Contractor bill verification and reconciliation to the BOQ

Accuracy in cross-checking site measurements against drawings is essential; I will be spot-verifying random elevations before sign-off. Once the reconciled quantities align with the BOQ, the job is complete and the billing sheet will form the basis for payment certification.
