Expo React Native Fitness Marketplace

I’m building a fitness-first mobile marketplace in Expo, React Native and TypeScript. The heart of the app is a cute, reactive character that literally trains alongside users: it guides each workout, mirrors their progress with expressive emotions, and triggers contextual actions whenever the screen state changes.

Beyond the companion, the product will connect enthusiasts and coaches inside a full marketplace. I need the foundations coded and animated so we can start iterating quickly.

Key scope for this first phase
• Mobile skeleton in Expo/React Native/TS, wired for OTA updates
• Chat interface that pipes user messages into an AI-based coaching service and returns meaningful guidance
• Animated character component that can:
– Perform core exercise motions (squat, plank, push-up, etc.)
– Switch emotion states (encourage, celebrate, correct form) based on real-time events coming from the chat or workout timer
• Modular data models for user profiles, class booking, product listings, check-in logs, exercises and diet tracking so we can plug in additional screens later without a rewrite

Acceptance will be simple: run the app on Expo Go, start a chat, watch the AI respond and see the character react in sync. Smooth 60 fps animation and TypeScript type safety are non-negotiable.
