I’m looking for an engineer-level webmaster who can partner with us long term. Right now, every minute counts because several of our sites across two different hosts are offline. Although Blue Host engineers performed an initial recovery, the files and databases are still scattered—I need someone who can dig in, locate every piece, and bring each site back exactly as it was.
You will have full hosting-control-panel logins and domain management access for both accounts, so you can work directly inside cPanel, phpMyAdmin, SSH or any other interface you prefer. The first objective is crystal clear: restore all websites on both hosting accounts, not just the public-facing ones we think are most important. Once everything is up and running flawlessly, we’ll move on to ongoing maintenance, performance tuning, security hardening and any new development that pops up.
I value deep programming knowledge—PHP, MySQL, JavaScript, DNS configuration, version control, and troubleshooting at the server level. If you’ve rebuilt broken WordPress, custom PHP, or similar stacks from partial backups before, you’ll fit right in.
Initial deliverables
• Locate every backup file and database for both hosts
• Reassemble and configure each site until it mirrors its pre-outage state
• Verify functionality: design layout, links, dynamic features, contact forms, log-ins, payment flows, emails—everything must work without errors
• Document the restoration steps so future maintenance is faster
Acceptance criteria
• Every domain loads publicly without 404 or PHP errors
• SSL certs active, no mixed-content warnings
• Admin areas accessible with original credentials
• Page-speed and basic security scans pass at least the same thresholds as before the outage
Once this phase is complete, we’ll set up a retainer for continuous improvements, backups, monitoring, and new feature rollouts. If you thrive on solving messy recoveries and then keeping systems rock-solid, let’s talk.
