Expert Rebar Take-Off and Scheduling to Australian standard

We are looking for an experienced Estimator / Quantity Surveyor specializing in concrete reinforcement (rebar) take-offs and scheduling. The ideal candidate must have a proven track record of accurately quantifying structural steel components from construction drawings.
Key Responsibilities:
• Perform comprehensive reinforcing steel take-offs from structural drawings.
• Accurately identify and calculate rebar shapes, diameters, and lengths according to standard bending schedules.
• Quantify reinforcing mesh (fabric) requirements, accounting for laps and waste.
• Estimate all associated accessories, including bar chairs, spacers, tie wire, and joint fillers.
• Deliver a clean, well-organized Excel spreadsheet/BOM (Bill of Materials) detailing the breakdown.

Required Skills & Experience:
• Proven experience in structural steel/rebar estimation (please provide examples of past work).
• Deep understanding of rebar shape codes and bending standards.
• Proficiency in estimation software (e.g., PlanSwift, Bluebeam, CostX) and Excel.
• High attention to detail to ensure zero missed elements in complex structural plans.
• Strong communication skills and ability to meet deadlines.
