Expert Engineer for Pet Food Facility Design

- Job scope — Fresh Pet Food Production Facility
- Looking for an experienced food processing / industrial engineer to design the production layout and machinery plan for a premium fresh dog food facility.
- Product is fresh cooked dog food similar in format to Ollie, not canned/wet food and not kibble. - - - Kibble may be considered as a future Phase 2 expansion.
- Initial production concept is approximately 300–800 kg/day, with room for future scaling.
- Develop the complete production process flow, from raw-material receiving through finished-product cold storage.
- Design an efficient factory floor layout showing machinery, workstations, cold rooms, storage, packing and sanitation areas.
- Define hygienic separation between raw, cooking, post-cook, packing and finished-product zones to minimize cross-contamination.
Review and validate our preliminary machinery list, including:
Walk-in meat freezer
Produce cold room/fridge
#32 commercial meat grinder
Heavy-duty vegetable dicer
Industrial mixer if required
Steam-jacketed kettle / appropriate industrial cooker
Blast chiller
Vacuum packaging equipment
Stainless-steel preparation and packing tables
Storage racking
Washing/sanitation equipment

- Recommend any missing equipment and identify anything unnecessary or oversized for the initial production volume.
- Specify recommended machine capacities and sizes rather than simply naming equipment.
- Calculate approximate electrical load, water, drainage, ventilation, refrigeration and other utility requirements.
- Recommend workflow and equipment positioning to minimize unnecessary product movement and labor.
- Account for food-safety/HACCP principles, washable surfaces, drainage, sanitation and Saudi food-production requirements where applicable.
- Design the facility so additional automation and Phase 2 kibble production can potentially be incorporated later without unnecessarily rebuilding Phase 1.
- Deliverables should include:

Factory layout / floor plan
Machinery placement plan
Production-flow diagram
Equipment schedule with capacities/specifications
Utility requirements
Recommended minimum facility area
Expansion considerations
Editable CAD/source files + PDF drawings

- Applicants should provide examples of previous food factory, meat processing, ready-meal, pet-food or similar production facility projects.
- Generic commercial-kitchen design experience alone is not sufficient. Preference will be given to engineers with actual food manufacturing/processing-line experience.
