I am looking for an experienced Wikipedia editor with proven experience in Articles for Creation (AfC), biographies of living persons (BLP), and Wikipedia sourcing policies to review and improve an existing draft about a professional classical musician.
The draft has already been submitted to AfC. The latest reviewer indicated that notability itself is not the main concern, but that the article needs significantly better referencing and independent reliable sources. A previous review also raised concerns regarding close paraphrasing/copyright.
I am a family member of the subject and am commissioning this work independently. I therefore need an editor who understands Wikipedia’s COI and paid-contribution disclosure requirements and will handle the project transparently and according to Wikipedia policy.
What I need
* Review the existing draft and all previous AfC reviewer comments
* Evaluate the existing references according to WP:RS, WP:BLP, WP:PRIMARY and related policies
* Research and find additional reliable, independent secondary sources
* Remove or modify information that cannot be properly supported
* Resolve any remaining close-paraphrasing/copyright issues
* Rewrite where necessary in a neutral, encyclopedic style
* Correct citations, structure and Wikipedia formatting
* Assess whether the draft is genuinely ready for another AfC submission
* Prepare it for resubmission if appropriate
* Comply with Wikipedia’s COI and paid-editing disclosure requirements
I am not looking for a general content writer or proofreader and I am not looking for promotional writing.
I also do not expect or want a guarantee of publication. The goal is to bring the draft into compliance with Wikipedia policies so that it can be independently evaluated through AfC.
Please include in your proposal
1. Links to 2–3 Wikipedia articles or AfC drafts you have personally worked on
2. Your Wikipedia username, if possible
3. Your experience with BLP and AfC
4. Confirmation that you follow Wikipedia’s paid-contribution and COI disclosure requirements
5. After looking at the draft and reviewer comments, 2–3 sentences explaining what you believe the main problems are and how you would approach them
Please only apply if you have genuine, verifiable Wikipedia editing experience.
