I am looking for an experienced textile or surface pattern designer to help develop custom designs for 100% cotton fabric. I have photographs of traditional designs that I would like recreated as professional digital artwork, with adjustments to colors, shapes, and layout to bring my vision to life.
The project involves converting reference images into editable vector artwork using Adobe Illustrator, collaborating on design revisions, and creating seamless repeating patterns suitable for professional fabric printing. The designs should work well on both fabric yardage and smaller accessories.
Project Requirements:
- Recreate traditional designs from reference photographs into clean, editable digital artwork.
- Collaborate on design modifications, color variations, and refinements.
- Create seamless repeating patterns, initially at 12" × 12", that tile perfectly in all directions.
- Develop at least two additional colorways.
- Prepare production-ready files suitable for printing on 100% cotton fabric.
Final Deliverables:
-Editable Adobe Illustrator (.ai) vector files.
-High-resolution, print-ready TIFF or PNG files at 300 dpi.
-Commercial usage rights and ownership of the final artwork, subject to any applicable rights associated with the traditional designs.
