Experienced Editor for 40k Word Book Needed

*Requirement: Human Editor for a Book (~40,000 Words)*

Looking for an experienced human book editor to edit/proofread an approximately 40,000-word book.

The requirement is beyond basic grammar/spelling correction. The editor should be able to:

- Review grammar, sentence structure, punctuation and language
- Improve readability, flow and overall presentation
- Suggest/rework awkward or repetitive sentences where required
- Maintain consistency in tone, style and voice throughout the book
- Make language/presentation improvements without changing the author's core message, intent or “soul” of the book
- Preserve the author's unique voice rather than making the writing feel overly polished or generic
- Ideally have experience in book/manuscript editing

Please share:

1. Your experience and previous book-editing work
2. Your charges for ~40,000 words
3. Estimated turnaround time
4. Whether the quote includes rounds of revisions/discussion
5. A sample of your previous editing work, if available

Please quote specifically for human editing — not AI-only editing or AI-generated proofreading.

Location is not a constraint; remote work is absolutely fine.
