We’re looking for an experienced 3D animator to help us create a large-scale traditional 3D animated project focused on tsunami size comparisons.
This is not an AI-generation project. We’re specifically looking for someone who is comfortable with **traditional 3D modelling, animation, environments, camera work, and simulations**.
The project is a 30–40 minute videosh owing tsunami waves of different sizes and their scale compared with buildings, landmarks, terrain, and other environmental elements.
### What you’ll be working on
The main responsibilities include:
* Modelling and animating different tsunami waves
* Creating environments such as coastal cities, open ocean, and river deltas
* Creating approximately **45 unique models**, including waves, buildings, structures, debris, and other assets
* Creating realistic water/physics simulations
* Animating wave movement, breakage, water flow, and impact on structures
* Maintaining accurate scale between the tsunami and environmental objects
* Creating cinematic camera movements, flythroughs, zooms, and slow-motion shots
* Adding lighting, atmosphere, water reflections, and basic texturing
* Syncing the animation with narration and scene transitions
* Rendering high-resolution final sequences
* Providing the complete working files, including models, scenes, textures, rigs, and simulations
### Who we’re looking for
We’re looking for someone with strong professional 3D animation experience who can handle a project with a lot of custom modelling and animation work.
Experience with Blender, Houdini, Maya, or similar 3D software is welcome. We care more about the quality of your work and your ability to handle realistic animation and large environments than the specific software you use.
To apply
Please send:
1. Your best 3D animation work
2. Examples of environment creation and realistic simulations
3. Examples of water, destruction, or large-scale effects if available
4. The software and render engine you use
5. Your estimated timeline and rate for a project of this scale
We are looking for someone experienced who can take ownership of the animation process and maintain consistent quality throughout the project.
Long-term collaboration is possible for the right animator.
