I need an end-to-end reporting solution inside Microsoft 365 that lets our senior executives see, at a glance, how every project in the portfolio is moving. The very first milestone is a set of interactive Power BI dashboards that clearly surface project progress, key milestones, deadlines, and overall workload and team capacity.
Here is the environment you will be working with: Excel workbooks that hold raw project data, Microsoft Planner boards for task status, and several SharePoint / Microsoft List trackers that capture issues and risks. Your job is to connect all of these sources with Power Query, model the data cleanly, and publish visually polished reports in Power BI Service.
Once the dashboards are in place, I also want the refresh cycle and executive alerts fully automated through Power Automate, together with a standard set of governance templates so every future project feeds the same metrics without manual rework. As part of that governance push, the underlying files, meeting notes, and update decks need to be reorganised into a logical SharePoint structure.
Key deliverables
• Power BI dataset and executive-level dashboards (progress, milestones, workload views)
• Scheduled refresh and email/Teams alert flows in Power Automate
• Consolidated data model drawing from Excel, Planner, and SharePoint Lists
• SharePoint folder architecture and meeting-note template
• Documentation of the process so PMs can onboard new projects with minimal effort
I am happy to walk through the current file landscape and naming conventions on a kick-off call. If you have solid experience with Power BI, Power Query, Power Automate, and portfolio reporting, let’s get started.
