I need a clear, well-structured costing sheet in Microsoft Excel that lets me calculate every expense that goes into a tour package here at our DMC in Muscat, Oman. The workbook has to capture the full range of cost elements I deal with every day—accommodation, transportation, meals, guide charges, plus any third-party or other outsourced services—while still being easy enough for the reservations team to update quickly.
Key points I want built in:
• Separate input areas for each cost component with automatic subtotals
• A consolidated summary that rolls everything into a single “tour cost” figure
• Space for markups or margins so I can see net versus sell price at a glance
• Currency flexibility (our suppliers bill in both OMR and USD)
• Clean formatting, drop-downs where it saves time, and locked formulas to avoid accidental edits
Deliverables:
1. A fully functioning Excel workbook (.xlsx) ready for real-world data
2. A short PDF or sheet inside the file that explains how to update inputs, add new services, and adjust mark-ups
If you have examples of similar costing tools you’ve built, I’d love to see them. Turnaround within a week is ideal so I can plug it into our next quoting cycle.
