I have all of my raw sales data stored in Excel workbooks and I want a single, interactive dashboard that instantly tells me how the business is performing. The dashboard must focus on three core metrics and update automatically whenever I drop new data into the same folder or worksheet:
• Total sales volume
• Sales by region (with an easy way to switch between regions)
• Sales growth over time
You are free to use PivotTables, Power Query, slicers, dynamic charts, or any Excel-native feature that keeps everything contained in one file—no external add-ins, please. Clean layout, clear labelling, and colour-coded visuals are important because this will be shared with non-technical colleagues.
Deliverables
• A finished .xlsx file with the dashboard on a dedicated sheet
• All supporting queries, tables, and formulas fully unlocked and documented inside the file
• A brief set of instructions (on a separate tab is fine) showing how I can refresh the data when I replace the source Excel files
Acceptance criteria
1. Metrics recalculate correctly after I swap in new monthly raw data.
2. Region filter switches charts and figures without errors.
3. No broken links or external connections.
If you have built similar sales dashboards in Excel, let me know; a quick screenshot or two will help me decide faster.
