Excel Sales Data Cleanup & Lookup

I have a large sales data worksheet in Microsoft Excel that needs a thorough cleanup. My main objective is to remove every duplicate entry, then reorganize the remaining records so downstream formulas and dashboards run smoothly.

The file already contains assorted VLOOKUP, XLOOKUP, and FILTER functions, but they are partially broken because of the duplicate rows and inconsistent sequencing. I need the sheet re-engineered so each lookup pulls the correct result without errors, #N/A’s, or mismatches.

Deliverables
• A cleaned, de-duplicated Excel file with all rows correctly sequenced
• Fixed or newly built VLOOKUP / XLOOKUP / FILTER formulas that return accurate results across the workbook
• A brief “what-was-done” tab summarising the steps taken and any assumptions, so I can maintain the file later

Acceptance Criteria
• Zero duplicate transaction IDs or customer references
• No broken formulas or circular references when I press F9 or refresh pivot tables
• Consistent date, currency, and number formats throughout every column
