Excel Production Dashboard Creation

I will give you raw production logs in Excel. From that single workbook I need a dynamic dashboard that lets me analyse production hours and overall productivity at a glance. The data must be viewable machine-wise, employee-wise and department-wise, with quick filters for shift and any custom date range.

Bar charts are my preferred visual, and I want mouse-over tooltips that reveal machine halt details without forcing the user to open extra sheets. A separate view summarising halt time for each individual machine should sit beside the main productivity charts so I can trace recurring stoppages instantly.

Your solution can live entirely inside Excel with pivot tables, slicers and VBA, or you may propose Power BI or a similar tool if that achieves smoother interaction—just be sure the final file is easy for my shop-floor supervisors to open and use without additional licences.
