Excel Numeric Data Entry & Validation

I have a collection of numeric records already organised in Excel spreadsheets that need to be keyed into our master database with zero loss of accuracy. To be confident in the integrity of the upload, I want every entry to pass three specific checks:

• Range validation
• Data type validation
• Duplicate entry check

You will receive the source spreadsheets and a simple set of field-by-field instructions. After you finish entering the figures, return the updated master sheet along with a short log that shows which, if any, rows failed an initial pass and how you resolved them. Accuracy is more important than speed, but I would like the first batch completed within two days so I can spot-check before we move on to the remaining files.

If you are comfortable working inside Excel, using its built-in validation tools (or your own scripts/macros) and are meticulous about double-checking your work, this should be a straightforward assignment.
