Excel Intelligence Dashboard – Update, Validation & Enhancement

I am looking for an experienced Excel Dashboard / Data Visualization specialist to help me finalize and improve an existing offshore operations and well-monitoring dashboard.

The dashboard is already approximately 90% completed. I built most of the structure, formulas, sheets, and the modern overview myself, but I currently do not have enough time to thoroughly review everything, compare the latest data, update the new wells, troubleshoot some formulas, and complete the remaining work.

I will provide:

1. Intelligence Dashboard – This is the main file I want you to modify. It is approximately 90% complete.
2. Old/Original Dashboard – Use this as a reference for comparison.
3. Latest/up-to-date operational files/data – Use these to verify and update the Intelligence Dashboard.

About the Project

This dashboard is used for offshore operations and well monitoring. It tracks multiple wells and operational activities, including well status, running/shutdown wells, new wells, workover wells, monitoring information, operational logs, PM checks, pending items, and daily operational activities.

You should be highly experienced with Excel, formulas, dashboards, data validation, data consistency, and professional dashboard design.

Experience with industrial, engineering, oil & gas, offshore, or operational dashboards is a strong advantage.

Main Scope of Work

1. Update the Intelligence Dashboard

The Intelligence Dashboard is the main file you need to work on.

It is already around 90% complete, so I am not looking for someone to build a dashboard from scratch.

You need to:

* Review the entire dashboard.
* Compare it with the old/original dashboard.
* Compare it with the latest operational data.
* Identify missing or outdated information.
* Add all new wells.
* Update existing wells where required.
* Make sure new wells are reflected throughout all relevant sheets.
* Verify statuses and operational information.
* Check consistency between sheets.
* Verify that formulas are working correctly.
* Preserve the existing logic and formulas wherever possible.

New wells may need to be added to multiple sheets, including:

* Overview
* Monitoring
* Status
* Logs
* PM Check
* Other relevant sheets

2. Formula Review & Troubleshooting

There is a sheet called “Monitoring Sheet”.

Most formulas are working correctly, but some wells have issues, particularly with the ROR-related formula/calculation.

I need you to:

* Review the existing formulas.
* Identify why the formula works for some wells but not others.
* Compare working formulas with problematic ones.
* Understand the existing logic.
* Fix the affected formulas properly.
* Make sure the fix does not break the formulas that are already working.
* Check for similar issues elsewhere in the workbook.

Important: Do not simply hard-code the results. The dashboard should remain dynamic and formula-based.

3. Compare Old Dashboard vs. Intelligence Dashboard

Use the old dashboard as a reference and carefully compare both files.

Check for:

* Missing wells
* Missing information
* Missing formulas
* Missing statuses
* Missing logs
* Missing PM information
* Differences in calculations
* Differences in well information
* Any information available in the old dashboard that has not yet been transferred

The final Intelligence Dashboard should contain all required information while maintaining the improved/new structure.

4. Modern Overview Sheet

The first sheet is the Overview. I already designed it as a modern dashboard and like the general direction.

I want to add the following:

Last 5 Shutdown Wells

Add a section showing the last 5 wells that were shut down.

Ideally, this should be dynamic and automatically update based on the latest available data.

Pending Items

Add a professional section/table showing current Pending Items, for example:

Well Number | Pending Item

The objective is that someone can open the Overview and immediately see:

* Which wells have pending actions?
* What is pending?
* Which wells require attention?

If you have better ideas to make the Overview more modern, professional, interactive, clean, and management-friendly, I am completely open to them.

5. Monthly Shift & Work Summary

I also want to add a new sheet to summarize our daily shifts and operational work.

Our offshore operation normally has:

* Day Shift
* Night Shift

So normally there are 2 shifts per day.

However, sometimes work is affected by:

* Rough weather
* Operational restrictions
* Shutdowns
* Other circumstances that prevent work from being completed

I want a professional monthly summary showing, where applicable:

* Date
* Month
* Day Shift
* Night Shift
* Number of shifts completed
* Work completed
* Wells worked on
* Work not completed / reason
* Weather-related delays
* Monthly total shifts
* Monthly completed work

I am open to your recommendation for the best structure and visualization.

6. PM Check Sheet

I am not completely satisfied with the current PM Check sheet.

Please review it and suggest improvements.

I am open to:

* Redesigning the layout
* Improving usability
* Improving the visual presentation
* Adding useful calculations
* Adding status indicators
* Better tracking of completed/pending PM activities

If you have a better concept for the PM Check sheet, I am open to changing it.

7. Data & Quality Check

This is very important.

I need someone who will actually review the workbook carefully, not just make cosmetic changes.

Please verify:

* Well numbers
* Well status
* New wells
* Workover wells
* Shutdown wells
* Running wells
* Monitoring information
* Logs
* PM information
* Formulas
* References between sheets
* Calculations
* Data consistency
* Missing or incorrect information

The final workbook should be internally consistent and reliable.

8. Preserve Existing Logic

The Intelligence Dashboard already contains significant work and formulas that I developed.

Please do not rebuild everything unnecessarily.

The preferred approach is:

Understand → Compare → Validate → Fix → Improve

If the existing formula/logic is correct, keep it.

If something is wrong, fix it properly.

If you see an opportunity for a significant improvement, I am open to your recommendation.

Expected Final Deliverable

The final Intelligence Dashboard should:

* Contain the latest wells and information.
* Match the latest operational data.
* Have properly working formulas.
* Resolve the Monitoring Sheet/ROR formula issues.
* Include new wells across all relevant sheets.
* Have an improved modern Overview.
* Show the last 5 shutdown wells.
* Show pending items by well.
* Include a monthly shift/work summary.
* Have an improved PM Check sheet.
* Maintain consistency across all sheets.
* Be professional, modern, and easy to use.
* Maintain dynamic formulas rather than unnecessary hard-coded values.

Ideal Freelancer

I am looking for someone highly experienced in:

* Advanced Excel formulas
* Excel dashboards
* Data analysis
* Dynamic formulas
* Excel tables
* Conditional formatting
* Power Query, if applicable
* Data visualization
* Professional dashboard design
* Troubleshooting complex formulas
* Large/linked Excel workbooks

Experience with industrial, engineering, oil & gas, offshore, or operational dashboards is a strong advantage.

Most importantly, I need someone detail-oriented who will carefully review and validate the entire workbook.

Important

Please don’t focus only on making the dashboard look good.

The priorities are:

Accuracy + Data Validation + Formula Integrity + Functionality + Professional Design

The dashboard is already approximately 90% complete. I mainly need an experienced person to review it carefully, compare it against the old dashboard and latest data, complete the remaining work, fix the issues, and make the final product highly professional.

I am also very open to your ideas and recommendations if you see better ways to improve the dashboard.

Please include in your proposal:

1. Your experience with advanced Excel dashboards.
2. Examples of similar dashboards you have created.
3. Your experience troubleshooting complex Excel formulas.
4. Experience with operational/industrial dashboards, if any.
5. Estimated completion time.
6. Fixed project price.

I am looking for quality, accuracy, and attention to detail, not simply the cheapest proposal.
