I have a series of raw Excel spreadsheets that I use strictly for record keeping, but right now they are messy and hard to read. I need you to step in and turn them into a clean, well-structured workbook.
You’ll receive the data already in .xlsx format, so your first task is to apply the usual housekeeping: remove duplicates, correct any obvious alignment or text issues, and make sure each column has an appropriate data type. From there, I want the sheets sorted and filtered logically so I can locate information quickly—basic formulas such as SUM, AVERAGE, COUNTIF, or simple look-ups are enough for my needs.
Once the data is tidy, convert key ranges into properly named tables; this is important because I rely on structured references later. If you see a spot where a small, clear chart would help me glance at trends (for example, a quick column or line chart), add it, but only when it genuinely adds value.
Deliverables:
• A single, formatted workbook with clean data, named tables, and working basic formulas
• Filters and sorts pre-set for quick navigation
• Duplicate-free records confirmed
• Optional mini-charts where relevant, kept simple and uncluttered
Everything should be ready for ongoing record keeping—no macro work, no heavy analytics, just thoughtful organization that will save me time every day.
