Excel Data Cleaning from Database

Our team has exported a series of tables directly from our production databases into Excel and they now need a thorough clean-up before we can load them into our BI dashboards.

Here is what I need you to handle inside the workbook:

• Removing duplicates across all sheets without breaking referential links
• Correcting obvious data entry errors (misspellings, misplaced values, shifted columns) while preserving original IDs
• Standardizing formats for dates, currency, phone numbers and any other fields that show inconsistencies

Because the data originated in SQL Server, a solid grasp of Excel’s Power Query, advanced filtering, conditional formatting and, where useful, VBA or formula-based solutions will help you move quickly.

1. A fully cleaned .xlsx file, ready for analysis
2. A short change log or notes sheet outlining major actions taken (so we can audit later)
