I have a customer contact spreadsheet that needs a thorough cleanup in Excel. The file contains recurring entries, inconsistent naming conventions, and gaps in key fields. Your task is to:
• Remove every duplicate, then merge any complementary details so that each person or company is represented by one fully populated record.
• Correct obvious spelling errors and fill in missing salutations, phone-number separators, state abbreviations, and other standard fields wherever the information already exists elsewhere in the sheet.
• Apply a uniform format to names (First Name / Last Name capitalized), telephone numbers (international format), e-mails (lower-case), and full addresses (street, city, state/province, ZIP/postcode, country).
The final deliverable is a clean, de-duplicated Excel file that preserves my original column order and can be filtered or imported directly into a CRM without further manual edits. Please use native Excel tools—Power Query, formulas, or VBA—whichever you prefer, as long as the outcome is accurate and can be spot-checked with simple filters.
When you return the file, include a brief change log or colour-coded tab so I can see what was adjusted.
