Samson Global Solutions LLC (SGS) is preparing a proposal for a major anniversary festival and community celebration in the Martinsville–Henry County, Virginia area. We are looking for an experienced Event Production Manager to be named as the proposed Track Manager. This role is contingent on award. SGS does not hold this contract, and applying does not guarantee work.
Compensation: $60–$90 per hour, depending on experience and responsibilities (planning range; nothing is binding until a written engagement after award).
Type: Contract, contingent on award. Hybrid during planning, with required on-site event activity. Project-based through event execution and closeout.
You will (if awarded): develop festival production and logistics plans; coordinate site layout, access and operational requirements; support permitting and public-safety coordination with the appropriate authorities; coordinate production vendors and technical providers (staging, equipment, barricades, sanitation); coordinate technical requirements for concerts, fireworks and similar activities; build event-day schedules and run-of-show documents; lead on-site through setup, execution and breakdown. SGS provides central project-management support (scheduling, documentation, reporting, budget oversight).
Required to apply:
1. A current resume/CV or professional portfolio.
2. Two comparable large public events or festivals where you managed production or operations: client, dates, crowd size and scale, your exact role, and outcomes.
3. Your public-safety planning and permitting coordination experience.
4. Three current references who can verify comparable event-production work.
5. Your availability and location, including ability to work on site in Martinsville, VA.
6. Your proposed hourly rate (nonbinding, for planning only).
Candidates within about two hours of Martinsville are preferred; qualified applicants farther away may be considered.
Proposal-use notice: By applying, you authorize SGS to evaluate the information you provide for possible use in a proposal and to attribute your experience accurately if you are selected. Applying does not guarantee selection, hiring, compensation, or proposal use.
Do not send Social Security numbers, bank information, government ID numbers, medical information, passwords, or other sensitive personal data.
