I’m putting together a Wi-Fi light switch around the ESP32 and I need complete firmware plus a small, self-hosted web interface so the unit can sit on my network and drive a dimmable light circuit. From the browser I should be able to turn the light on/off, set brightness, schedule automatic events, and reach the page securely while away from home.
Key functions
• Web interface (no mobile app requirement) served directly from the ESP32
• Features enabled: Scheduling, Dimming control, Remote access over the internet/LAN
• Clean, responsive HTML + CSS + JavaScript (vanilla or lightweight framework)
• MQTT support or lightweight REST endpoints are welcome if it simplifies remote control, but not mandatory
Deliverables
1. Well-commented ESP32 source code ready for Arduino IDE or PlatformIO
2. Front-end files (HTML, CSS, JS) compressed for onboard SPIFFS/LittleFS upload
3. Circuit diagram showing the GPIO pinout for the relay/triac and dimming hardware
4. A README that walks me through flashing, initial Wi-Fi setup via captive portal, and how to expose the interface securely (HTTPS or reverse-proxy instructions are fine)
Acceptance will be based on:
• Successful compile and flash on an ESP32-DEVKITC board
• Stable switching with smooth dimming (no flicker)
• Scheduler reliably triggering on/off events across power cycles
• Remote access functioning through my router with basic authentication
