Flutter Mobile Developer — Long-Term Equity-Based Opportunity at Chef AI
About Chef AI
Chef AI is an AI-powered cooking and food assistant currently being developed under CYCORP.
The product is already well underway. The backend infrastructure and APIs have been developed, and the Flutter mobile application is substantially built. We are now looking for a Flutter Mobile Developer to join the team for the long term, complete the remaining development and integration work, and continue developing the product as Chef AI grows.
This is not a traditional freelance project. We are looking for someone who wants to become part of the journey and grow with the company.
Compensation — READ BEFORE APPLYING
THIS IS AN EQUITY-BASED POSITION.
There is NO fixed salary, hourly rate, monthly stipend, or upfront cash payment for this role.
The compensation structure is:
- 5% milestone-based equity in Chef AI/CYCORP, subject to the agreed milestone structure and applicable legal documentation.
- One-time $5,000 bonus when Chef AI reaches $100,000 in cumulative collected revenue.
If you are only interested in a traditional paid freelance contract, please do not apply.
We understand that equity-based opportunities are not suitable for everyone. We are specifically looking for developers who understand startup risk and want the opportunity to participate in the long-term success of the product.
Current Project Status
The project is already significantly developed.
The existing backend includes:
- User management
- Authentication
- JWT-protected APIs
- Chat functionality
- AI recipe generation
- Subscription verification
- Subscription status management
- API documentation for mobile integration
The Flutter application is also substantially developed.
The developer joining the team will be taking over an existing codebase rather than starting from zero.
Responsibilities
You will be responsible for:
- Taking ownership of the existing Flutter application.
- Reviewing and understanding the current codebase.
- Completing the remaining mobile development.
- Integrating the mobile application with the existing backend APIs.
- Working directly with our backend developer.
- Integrating AWS Cognito authentication.
- Integrating Google Play subscriptions.
- Integrating Google AdMob for free users.
- Ensuring premium users do not receive advertisements.
- Generating production-ready APK and AAB builds.
- Testing the application across supported Android devices.
- Identifying and fixing bugs.
- Completing end-to-end integration testing.
- Preparing the application for Google Play release.
- Continuing to maintain and improve Chef AI after launch.
Ideal Candidate
We are looking for someone with:
- Strong Flutter and Dart experience.
- Experience working with existing production codebases.
- REST API integration experience.
- Google Play Billing experience.
- Google AdMob experience.
- Git/GitHub experience.
- Experience publishing Android applications.
- Ability to work independently.
- Strong communication skills.
- Willingness to collaborate closely with a backend developer.
- Genuine interest in joining a startup for the long term.
Experience with AWS Cognito is a strong advantage, but it is not mandatory if you have strong authentication/API experience.

The vision is to build Chef AI into a successful product and eventually expand CYCORP into a larger AI technology company with multiple products.
