Enterprise SaaS Product Design & React Implementation

We are building an enterprise B2B SaaS product used by insurance organizations and their frontline agents.

The core application, backend services and product functionality already exist.

We are not looking for someone to redesign the product using generic AI-generated dashboards or templates.

We are looking for an experienced Product Designer / Design Engineer who can take an existing functional application and turn it into a polished enterprise product.

What We Need

The engagement will happen in two clear stages.

Stage 1: Product UI/UX and Design Freeze

You will:

Audit the existing application and workflows
Understand the major user personas and journeys
Improve information architecture where required
Establish the visual direction for the product
Design the application in Figma
Create a reusable design system
Define typography, spacing, navigation, forms, tables, cards, status states, dialogs, filters and other components
Design loading, empty, error and success states
Ensure consistency across the complete product
Produce developer-ready Figma files
Work with us until we reach a formal UI Freeze

The product should feel like a serious enterprise SaaS application, not a startup template or an AI-generated dashboard.

We value products with the level of clarity and polish seen in modern enterprise SaaS platforms such as Linear, Stripe, Ramp, Rippling, Datadog and similar products.

We are not asking you to copy these products. They are references for quality.

Stage 2: React Frontend Implementation

After UI Freeze, you will:

Implement the approved design in React
Build reusable production-quality components
Connect the frontend to existing backend APIs
Handle responsive layouts
Implement loading, empty and error states
Maintain consistent design tokens and components
Keep the frontend clean and maintainable
Work with the existing engineering architecture rather than rewriting backend functionality

Backend development is largely outside the scope of this role.

The application contains areas such as:

Enterprise administration dashboard
Organization configuration
Users / agents
Teams
Sales playbooks
Playbook versions and publishing
Agent assignments
Knowledge management
Configuration and policies
Usage and operational dashboards
Desktop-agent configuration
Session/call information
Settings and governance

There is also a desktop application used by frontline agents.

The Admin Console acts as the centralized control plane and the desktop application acts as the runtime/execution experience.

Consistency between these experiences is important.

Shortlisted candidates may be offered a small paid design exercise using one existing screen from our product.

We will judge primarily on:

Component/design-system thinking
Ability to translate Figma accurately into React
Expected Engagement

We prefer a fixed-price milestone-based engagement.

The major milestone will be:

UI/UX approved and frozen in Figma before full frontend development begins.

Code and design files created as part of the engagement must be fully handed over to us.
