I have a functioning stock-trading web app that now needs to move from “prototype” to production-ready. The core interface is built, but three areas still require integration and refinement:
• Real-time stock data pulled directly from broker feeds (no generic market APIs—latency and accuracy are critical).
• Automated trading algorithms that must be upgraded for stronger strategy logic, tighter performance, and bulletproof error handling.
• A cleaner, more secure user-account layer so portfolio data, orders, and permissions are managed reliably.
For the algorithm work, I want you to profile existing code, eliminate bottlenecks, introduce new strategies where gaps exist, and add resilience so the system recovers gracefully from API hiccups or connectivity drops. Your changes should be unit-tested and benchmarked against live feed simulations.
On the data side, the broker’s streaming feed has to plug into my current back end with minimal delay. I need price updates, order-book depth, and execution reports flowing in real time and exposed through the existing UI.
Finally, accounts: single sign-on is already wired, but I still need role-based permissions, fund-withdrawal constraints, and an audit log that captures every critical user action.
Deliverables that will let me sign off:
1. Integrated broker-feed module with documented endpoints.
2. Refactored algorithm engine showing measurable latency and P&L improvements.
3. Enhanced account management features, fully tested and deployed to staging.
4. A short hand-off document and recorded demo walk-through.
