We are looking for a confident, friendly, and professional English-speaking cold caller to help us contact small businesses throughout the United States.

This is a remote, part-time position with the possibility of becoming a long-term role for the right person.

About the Role

We help small businesses improve their online presence through professional websites and other digital services.

Our team identifies local businesses that may benefit from a website and prepares a website idea/mockup for them.

Your job is to call these businesses, start a friendly conversation, and ask for permission to send them the website idea we've prepared.

This is NOT a high-pressure sales or closing position.

You are NOT expected to sell a website during the initial call.

The primary goal is simply to speak with the business owner or representative and determine whether they are willing to see what we've prepared for them.

What You'll Be Doing

You will be provided with:

A list of businesses to contact
Business names and phone numbers
A calling script
Responses for common objections
Training on our services and outreach process
A Google Sheets system for tracking calls and outcomes

Your responsibilities will include:

Making outbound cold calls to small businesses in the United States
Confirming that you've reached the correct business
Briefly introducing the reason for your call
Asking permission to send the website idea/mockup
Handling basic questions and objections naturally
Knowing when to make one additional attempt and when to politely end the conversation
Asking whether interested businesses prefer to receive the information by text or email
Accurately recording the outcome of every call
Recording important information or notes from conversations
Following the provided outreach process consistently
Example of the Call

"Hi, am I calling [Business Name]?

Great! My name is [Name]. I'm calling because I came across your business and we put together a quick website idea for you—just something that could make it easier for customers to find you and get in contact with you.

There's no cost or obligation. I'd just like to send it over so you can take a look. Would that be okay?"

If the business is interested, your job is primarily to determine where we should send the information and record the outcome so our team can handle the follow-up.

You do NOT need to close the sale during this call.

Who We're Looking For

We're looking for someone who:

Speaks fluent, clear, conversational English
Is confident speaking with business owners over the phone
Is comfortable making cold calls
Sounds natural and conversational rather than simply reading from a script
Can think and respond naturally when a conversation goes off-script
Is comfortable handling basic objections
Has good listening skills
Knows when to continue a conversation and when to politely end it
Is friendly and professional even when someone is not interested
Can follow instructions and a defined calling process
Is reliable and consistent
Can accurately track calls and notes in Google Sheets
Has reliable internet
Has a reliable computer/headset and a quiet environment for making professional calls
Is available to make calls during U.S. Central Time business hours
Experience

Previous experience with cold calling is strongly preferred.

Experience in any of the following is also valuable:

Appointment setting
Outbound sales
Telemarketing
Lead generation
Call centers
Business-to-business (B2B) outreach
Phone-based customer service

We care heavily about how you actually sound and communicate on the phone, not just the number of years of experience listed on your profile.

Paid Trial

We plan to begin with a paid trial period.

During the trial, we'll evaluate things such as:

Reliability
Call quality
Communication skills
Ability to follow the calling process
Comfort handling objections
Quality of notes and call tracking
Ability to have natural conversations with business owners

Strong performance may lead to additional hours and a long-term position.

How to Apply

Please include the following with your application:

Your country and current time zone.
Your previous cold-calling, appointment-setting, telemarketing, sales, or similar experience.
The types of businesses or campaigns you have previously called for, if applicable.
Approximately how many outbound calls you are comfortable making per day.
How many hours per week you are available.
Your desired hourly rate.
A short English voice recording using the script below.

For your voice recording, please read this naturally as if you were actually speaking with a business owner:

"Hi, my name is [Name]. I'm calling because I came across your business and we put together a quick website idea for you. There's no cost or obligation. I'd just like to send it over so you can take a look. Would that be okay?"

Please do not simply read the script as quickly as possible.

We want to hear how you would actually speak with a business owner on the phone.

We're looking for someone who sounds friendly, confident, conversational, clear, and professional.

Please include your voice recording with your application.
