I need several legal documents—specifically, contracts of moderate complexity—translated between English and Kiswahili with complete fidelity to legal terminology and intent. Accuracy is critical; clauses, dates, monetary figures, and any referenced statutes must read naturally in the target language while preserving their original force.
Source files will arrive as editable Word documents and scanned PDFs. Please return a clean bilingual version in Word (side-by-side or clearly labeled sections) plus a final PDF for filing. Include a brief glossary of any specialised terms you standardise across the text.
Your work should:
• Respect the tone and structure of a formal contract
• Follow Kenyan legal conventions for Kiswahili wording
• Be proofread and ready for signature without additional editing
If you use CAT tools such as Trados or MemoQ, let me know; consistent terminology is a plus. Confidentiality is assumed, and I can supply an NDA on request.
Turnaround: first draft within five days of receipt, final version two days after any feedback.
