Engineering Capability Statement & Project Profile Writer Australian engineering consultancy seeking experienced technical/business writer to refresh capability statements and project profiles. Precision Civil & Hydraulic Engineering (PC&HE) is a Northern Territory-based engineering consultancy providing civil, hydraulic and fire services engineering across urban, regional and remote Australia. PC&HE was recently recognised as the 2026 Telstra Best of Business Awards – Growth Award NT Winner. We have an existing library of capability statements and individual project profiles that contain the necessary technical information but require professional review and rewriting to create a consistent, high-quality suite suitable for: tender submissions; government procurement; capability statements; client presentations; website content; and business development. Scope The successful freelancer will review and rewrite existing PC&HE material rather than develop technical content from scratch. The work will include: 1. Capability statements Review and rewrite service capability documents covering areas such as: hydraulic services; civil engineering; fire hydrant and hose reel systems; automatic fire sprinklers; water infrastructure; sewerage and wastewater; stormwater; health facilities; remote community infrastructure; and other specialist engineering services. 2. Project profiles Develop a consistent format that clearly communicates: project and client context; the engineering challenge; PC&HE's scope; design approach; constraints; solution; project outcome; and what demonstrates PC&HE's particular capability or point of difference. PC&HE positioning The rewritten material should help communicate PC&HE's particular approach to engineering, including: practical engineering suited to Northern Territory and remote Australian conditions; designing systems to minimise maintenance requirements; considering how systems can be understood, maintained and repaired once operational; simplifying solutions where appropriate rather than introducing unnecessary complexity; producing documentation that provides useful information to the tradespeople installing and maintaining systems; specialist experience with remote and health infrastructure; and supporting development of local and Aboriginal trade capability through improved transfer of specialist technical knowledge. The Telstra Best of Business Awards recognition should be incorporated appropriately as third-party recognition of the business, without allowing the award to dominate individual technical capability or project profiles. Important requirements We are specifically looking for someone with experience writing for one or more of the following: engineering consultancies; architecture or construction; infrastructure; government tenders; professional-services capability statements; technical case studies. Australian industry experience is strongly preferred. The writer must be capable of taking relatively technical engineering material and converting it into concise, professional and commercially effective language without inventing technical claims, project outcomes or achievements.
