Engineer Adjustable Neck Pillow Mechanism

Title: Mechanical Engineer Needed for Neck Pillow Structural Improvements

I’m developing a neck pillow with an adjustable chin support. I already have a 3D design but need an experienced mechanical engineer to complete the functional structure before prototyping.

Scope of Work:

1. Adjustable Chin Support: Design a telescopic adjustment mechanism with a secure locking system to ensure stability and proper positioning.
2. Pillow Connection: Complete the mechanical connection between the neck pillow and the plug/connector.
3. Structural Improvements: Refine the existing design to ensure functionality, durability, and manufacturability.
4. Final Deliverables:
* Editable 3D CAD files and STEP files.
* Detailed engineering drawings.
* Exploded assembly view, where appropriate.
* Basic CMF specifications (color, material, and finish).

Requirements:

* Experience in mechanical engineering and consumer product development.
* Experience designing adjustable and locking mechanisms.
* Portfolio demonstrating functional mechanical products.

I prefer to improve the existing design rather than redesign the entire product.
