I’m planning an Android-only chat product whose sole purpose is secure, high-quality voice calling. Before I start coding, I want an experienced real-time communications engineer to walk me through the best technical approach and help me avoid common pitfalls.
In a single consultation session (up to 90 minutes) followed by a short written brief, I’d like you to cover:
• The overall call flow: signalling, NAT traversal, TURN/STUN servers, and how everything fits together on Android.
• Which SDKs or libraries (e.g., WebRTC, liblinphone, or other proven stacks) make the most sense for voice-only traffic.
• A step-by-step blueprint for implementing true end-to-end encryption on the audio stream—key exchange, SRTP, Double Ratchet or similar—and how to keep servers blind to content.
• Dealing with poor or variable mobile networks while maintaining low latency and good quality.
• Any compliance, permission, or Play Store review considerations unique to encrypted VoIP apps.
Deliverables
- Live consultation call (voice or video, your choice) focused solely on Android voice calling with end-to-end encryption.
- A concise follow-up document (PDF or Markdown) summarising key recommendations, example code snippets, and next-step milestones.
If you’ve built secure VoIP on Android before and can back it up with real-world insights, let’s talk.
