I have been recording short clips and snapping photos of our son from the day he was born—first cuddles in the hospital, sleepy grins, messy breakfasts, and spontaneous giggles with his mum. Now, I want to weave those moments into a single, emotionally touching montage that I can play for my wife on her birthday.
The raw material: roughly 45 minutes of mixed-quality phone footage and a folder of high-resolution photos. Most files are already dated, and I can give a quick note on who’s in each clip, but I’m happy to reorganise or rename anything you need.
Here’s what I imagine: gentle colour correction so every scene looks warm and consistent, tasteful transitions (nothing flashy), and a soundtrack that quietly builds the sentiment without overpowering the dialogue and natural sounds you choose to leave in. I’m aiming for something in the 4–6 minute range, but I’m open to your professional advice if a different length feels stronger.
Tone is key—this needs to feel heartfelt, not overly staged. Feel free to recommend title cards, subtle subtitles, or motion graphics if they enhance the story rather than distract from it.
Deliverables
• Final video mastered in 1080p (H.264) suitable for TV and social media
• Separate clean version without music, in case we ever want to change the track
• Editable project file (Premiere Pro, Final Cut, or DaVinci Resolve—whatever you use)
Once I send the files via Google Drive, a quick storyboard or rough cut within a week would help us confirm the flow before you polish everything up.
